My role was a hands-on player-coach in creating singular design systems for the new Tebra brand of products. The merger of Kareo and PatientPop formed Tebra. With each company having a unique set of product solutions for the healthcare space, my team had to figure out how to merge them together. I had to assess the landscape of 10 different in-market products, create a roadmap for the development of the new design system and its implementation, as well as create processes for change management for both our consumers and internal teams.
Some of the steps in my design process:
• Create a roadmap of phased brand enhancements throughout the Tebra ecosystem
• Create a robust asset list of all interactive elements used throughout these 10 products
• Work with the CX team to build out a complete customer journey map through experiences in the now-merged systems
• Work with marketing teams to align our design explorations with the new brand expressions
• Conducted extensive phases of user research to test, iterate and improve creative expressions of the new brand within the new design system. Things tested were participants’ affinities to color variations, typography usage, component variants, dark/light patterns, etc.
• Conducted qualitative and quantitative user research to iterate and improve new navigational patterns needed when fusing these separate product systems together. Things tested were TLL, TTL, LLL navigation patterns, information architecture, language selection, etc.
• Tracked movement in both CSAT, CES, NPS and SUPR-Q
• Ran point to coordinate activities of 34 separate build teams to migrate the new systems into the existing product
